In World of Warcraft, the Jewelcrafting enables players to craft items such as gems for socketed items, trinkets, rings, necklaces.
Jewelcrafting goes well with Mining since gems and the ore that you need for certain recipes can be acquired through mining ore veins. Even if you do take Mining, though, Jewelcrafting is still expensive to level. You might want to buy WoW Gold to ensure that you have enough funds to buy your materials.
Proficiency
As with all professions, Jewelcrafting has six proficiency levels, which are listed in the table below. As you increase your character’s level and your Jewelcrafting skill level, you can increase your Jewelcrafting Proficiency by visiting a Jewelcrafting Trainer. While any Jewelcrafting Trainer in Azeroth can teach you Apprentice to Artisan Jewelcrafting, you can only learn Master Jewelcrafting in Outland or Northrend, and Grand Master Jewelcrafting in Northrend.
Training costs WoW Gold, and the prices differ depending on whether you chose Jewelcrafting as your Primary or Secondary profession.

Leveling Jewelcrafting
The first thing you need to do is to visit a Jewelcrafting Trainer in one of Azeroth’s main cities to learn Apprentice Jewelcrafting. This section contains a table that shows you which items to create to level up your Proficiency in the fastest, most efficient manner.
Most of the formulas for the items listed below can be learned from Jewelcrafting Trainers, but a few have to be obtained elsewhere.
If you haven’t opted to take up Mining as a secondary profession or if you’re just not feeling up to looking for materials, you may want to buy WoW Gold so that you can purchase them from other players.

At skill level 300, you will be able to learn how to cut the gems harvested from Mining to turn them into gems for item sockets. You have to go to your faction’s Master Jewelcrafter (Tatiana at Honor Hold Inn for Alliance, Kalaen at Thrallmar for Horde) to learn to cut gems. Gem cutting designs can be purchased from faction Quartermasters located in Outland. |
