In Age of Conan, Gemcutters specialize in honing rough gems of all kinds to turn them into decorations or enchantments for equipment.

AoC Gemcutting require raw gems, which are dropped by level 40+ humanoid mobs or can be bought from other players for a little AoC Gold, and jeweler's kits, which can be acquired through spending some more AoC Gold to buy them from tradeskill vendors.

To advance in this profession, players have to complete quests given by the Gemcutting trainer. There are six tiers of quests, referred to as Tiers 5-10, with each quest tier requiring Gemcutters to cut 3 gems.

Raw Gems

Raw gems are dropped by level 40+ humanoid mobs and come in six colors.

Cuts and Prefixes

Below is a table of the different gems that a Gemcutter can produce, which includes their prefixes and cuts. The effect of the gem when socketed into a piece of equipment is affected by the equipment's level, the gem cut (Cabochon, Oblique, etc.), and the gem's prefix (Glacial, Protective, etc).
