The Elder Scrolls Online takes the award winning series from Bethesda into an entirely new arena. For the first time ever, users across the globe will be able to explore the vast expanse of Tamriel together. Utilizing 20 years of world building laid down by the previous games, Elder Scrolls Online is shaping up to be a groundbreaking MMO with a rich world, ready for exploration and conquest!
Taking place in the Second Era before the Septim Empire unified Tamriel and the single player epics take place, Elder Scrolls Onlile takes a look at an exciting part of the world’s history. While three factions tear the races apart in their fight over the Imperial City, a grave threat from the Daedric Prince of domination and enslavement is working to merge that entire world with the nightmarish realm of Oblivion. You’ll need weapons gear, high end items and a fair amount of ESO gold in order to combat the forces of evil.
Classes and Gameplay
Players familiar with either previous Elder Scrolls games or MMO’s in general will be on familiar ground. There are four classes in the game: Nightblade, Templar, Dargon Knight, and Sorcerer, and each class has three skill lines and a wealth of customization options, making for hundreds of possible builds.
Races and Factions
Elder Scrolls Online will have players joining one of three factions: the Aldmeri Dominion, the Ebonheart Pact, and the Daggerfall Covenant.
The Aldmeri Dominion is run by the High Elves and seeks the return of a long lost era where Elves dominated the other races and ruled Tamriel with an iron fist. The High Elves are supported by the Wood Elves and the Khajiit, a fearsome feline race.
High Elves are naturally gifted in magic, Kajiit have a strong affinity for blade weapons, and the wily Wood Elves are masters of stealth and archery.
The Ebonheart Pact is a union of old enemies united by common threats. The Nords, hardiest of the human races who once conquered much of Tamriel, band together with the Dark Elves, who they have a long history of conflict with, and the Argonians, a reptilian race who were enslaved by the Dark Elves for much of their history.
The Nords are masters of weapon and combat, and are supported with the dark magics of their Elven allies and the intellect and guerrilla tactics of the Argonians.
The Daggerfall Covenent is an alliance between two very different human tribes and the often misunderstood Orcs. The Orcs, whose history is among the most bloodstained of the races of Tamriel, have a culture wherein only the strongest are allowed to rule. This compliments the Redguard, whose harsh desert environment has given rise to a rite of passage for their youth that kill off those not strong enough to fend for themselves. These two hardened peoples are joined by the Bretons, a magically gifted race of humans.
The Bretons, along with magical gifts, are also shrewd diplomats and intelligent merchants, while the Orcs boast the best weapon smiths in all of Tamriel. These orc weapons are used to great effect by the Redguard, who are raised to be warriors from birth.
