Aion Online or Aion is a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG) published by NCSoft. Launched last year with a record-breaking 400,000 preorder sales, Aion takes place in the world of Atreia where winged humans known as Daeva roam the land and skies.

Players take control of their own Daeva as either an Elyos (light) or Asmodean (dark). Both factions are embittered rivals with each side blaming the other for past trangressions that led to death and destruction.

Aion is unique in its use of tactical flight in battles, allowing characters to use their wings to gain distance advantage (for casters and archers) or close in on their opponents (for melee classes).

As one of the most recent games to be released in the MMORPG genre, Aion features top-of-the-line graphics. It also offers its own item crafting system to supplement gear obtained through quest rewards.
